Film & TV Production Chairs for DITs, Video Village & On-Set Crew
On a film or TV set, the people who keep the picture right spend the longest hours in a chair. DITs managing data and color at the cart. Video assist and playback operators running video village. Script supervisors, VFX supervisors, and directors locked on the monitors take after take. Most of that time is spent leaning in toward a screen — and most set chairs, from director's chairs to folding stools to whatever came off the truck, were never built for it.
Stealth chairs were designed for exactly that forward-lean posture. They started at the mixing console, where engineers spend 12+ hours leaned toward the work, and that same design carries straight over to a DIT cart or a video village monitor wall.
Why crews choose Stealth on set
- Patented ZenWave forward-lean seat that supports you while you're leaned into a monitor or cart
- Two piston heights included, plus an X-Tall option and footring for standing-height DIT carts
- 4" TourMax casters on Pro models for stage floors, cable crossings, and location surfaces
- Non-reflective midnight black that won't throw glare or catch lights near the monitors
- 400 lb capacity, 5-year warranty, every part replaceable — and chairs ship within 48 business hours
Built for the Way Film & TV Crews Actually Sit
DITs & Data Wranglers
Hours at the cart checking exposure, managing color and offloading media. Forward-lean support keeps your lower back supported while you're on the scopes.
Video Village & Video Assist
Playback, monitor feeds and on-set review from call to wrap. A chair that supports leaning in to the monitors and sitting back between setups.
Script & VFX Supervisors
Continuity notes and VFX checks happen face-to-the-screen. Free-Float lumbar support follows you as you move between monitor and notes.
On-Set Colorists & Editors
Dailies, on-set grading and near-set editorial demand the same posture as the edit bay — see our video editing chairs for post.
Made for Set Conditions, Not Just Offices
- Height for any cart or monitor wall. Every chair comes with two piston heights — a desk height and a taller standing-desk height. For standing-height DIT carts, add the X-Tall cylinder and the adjustable footring so your feet are supported up high.
- Casters for stages and locations. Stealth Pro and Pro Executive ship with 4" TourMax casters for rolling over cable crossings, stage decking and uneven floors. Need it to stay put? Chair glides keep it stationary, and Stage Glide casters are non-marking and quiet.
- Quiet when the camera rolls. No creaks or squeaks by design — and if one ever shows up, our squeak fix guide takes a few minutes.
- Arms off when you need the room. 4D arms remove without tools for tight carts and crowded video village setups.
- Repairable, not disposable. Every part — cylinders, casters, arms, backrests — is in stock and replaceable, so a chair that takes a hit on a production keeps working.

Film & TV Seating FAQ
What's the best chair for a DIT cart?
A chair that supports leaning forward toward the monitors and reaches your cart height. Every Stealth chair has a forward-lean seat and comes with two piston heights; for standing-height carts, add the X-Tall cylinder and an adjustable footring.
Will the casters roll over cables on set?
The 4" TourMax casters included with the Stealth Pro and Pro Executive are built for cable crossings, stage decking and uneven floors. They're also sold separately for any Stealth chair.
Are Stealth chairs quiet enough for set?
They're designed to be silent in use. For quiet, non-marking movement, add Stage Glide casters, or use chair glides so the chair doesn't roll at all.
How fast can chairs get to a production?
Chairs ship from Nashville, TN or Centennial, CO within 48 business hours of your order. Shipping cost is quoted at checkout.
How much weight do they hold?
Every Stealth chair is rated for 400 lbs and backed by a 5-year warranty covering all parts against manufacturing defects.
